RLC step response simulation
Under-, critically- and over-damped ringing of a series RLC.

The sweep replays the capacitor voltage after a step from Vin, then holds on the settled value — move any control or press Restart to run it again. With ζ < 1 the voltage overshoots toward 2×Vin and rings; raise R toward critical damping and beyond to watch the ringing die into a slow, overshoot-free rise. The window follows the response rather than the component values: it ends where the ring has decayed, which is why a heavily damped setting shows a long slow tail and a lightly damped one shows the ring.
