Pinout
2-pin JST battery connector pinout

Pins
- + (usually red wire)
- − (usually black wire)
- JST-PH (2.0mm pitch) is the common LiPo pack standard; JST-XH is a similar-looking 2.5mm pitch connector often used for balance leads — they are NOT interchangeable, check the pitch before mating

Notes
- The drawing follows the Adafruit / SparkFun convention: with the plug's metal windows facing you and the wires down, red (+) is on the left.
- Pack makers do not agree on which wire sits on which side of the housing, so a pack and a board that mate physically can still be wired reversed. Check with a meter before the first connection and swap the pins in the housing if needed.
- JST-PH contacts are rated around 2 A and JST-XH around 3 A: fine for small LiPo packs, too small for high-current ones (use a larger connector such as XT30 there).
