Pins

• VCC (printed VIN on some clones — 2.6–5.5V into the module's onboard LDO, which feeds the sensor's 2.8V rail; a bare VL53L0X chip takes 2.6–3.5V ONLY, so 5V straight to a chip without this regulator destroys it)
• GND
• SCL (I2C clock, up to 400kHz — level-shifted to 2.8V on the module)
• SDA (I2C data — 7-bit address 0x29, and it reverts to 0x29 on every power-up: to use several sensors you must hold all but one in XSHUT and re-address them one at a time after each reset)
• GPIO1 (interrupt output: data-ready or distance threshold, open-drain and active low — needs a pull-up, and it swings to the sensor rail, not to 5V)
• XSHUT (shutdown, ACTIVE LOW — the module pulls it high so the sensor runs by default; pull it LOW to force hardware standby. Drive it open-drain or through a level shifter from a 5V MCU rather than pushing 5V at it)
