Pinout
DS18B20 temperature sensor (1-Wire, TO-92) pinout

Pins
- GND
- DQ (1-Wire data — needs a 4.7kΩ pull-up resistor to VDD)
- VDD (3–5.5V — or tie to GND for parasitic-power mode, with DQ then supplying the chip through a strong pull-up)

Notes
- Pin order is GND, DQ, VDD left to right with the FLAT, marked face towards you and the legs pointing down. Swapping VDD and GND makes the chip heat up within seconds and usually kills it — check the flat face before powering.
- The waterproof probe version is the same chip in a steel sleeve on a cable: red = VDD, black = GND, yellow (or white/blue) = DQ.
